See Your Admission as a Privilege- UI VC Counsels Newly- Admitted 4200 Students

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, on Sunday counseled the institution’s fresh men to see their admission as a privilege.

Prof. Adebowale stated this during the reception held for the new students at the Chapel of Resurrection.

While speaking, the VC revealed that only 4200 students were fortunate to be admitted out of the over 20,000 candidates who sat for the university’s post-UTME.

He also noted that only 3,983 students accepted the offers of admission; adding that the new students should priotise their academic pursuits while all other pursuits should be considered as additional benefits.

Adebowale, thereby, advised the new students to choose their friends carefully, and adhere to the rules and regulations of the university.
