POS Agent Abducted At Gun Point In Delta
A POS Operator, named Biggy has just been kidnapped by gunmen from his Egbo home in Delta State.
The Pendulum Media learned that the incident happened 3pm on Friday at Ughelli South Local Government Area.
It was also reported that Biggy’s friend, upon seeing the events as it unfolds ran for dear life as the gunmen continuously opened fire and the bullet pierced through the wall of the building.
The incident has caused tension amongst residents, indigenes and business owners in the area as nothing is heard from the victim and the abductors at press time.
Speaking of the incident, Israel Joe, a Niger Delta human rights activist, has now condemned the insecurity in the state, saying, “It is time we raise alarm about the steady and incessant rate of kíɗnąpping in Delta State, especially Ughelli South – Egbo, Aragba, Otokutu, Uvwie, Warri and environs.”
“The security agencies must rise to the occasion of nipping this ugly trending social ill. How would kídnąppíng be an everyday thing now?”. He added.
However, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe claimed the incident was not reported.
In a WhatsApp message sent to our correspondent in Warri, Edafe’s curt message read, “Not reported pls, so not confirmed”.
