Poly Ibadan Receives Temporary Licence to Operate Radio Station
The Polytechnic of Ibadan, Oyo State has received a temporary license from the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to operate Poly Ibadan FM Radio Station.
Modupe Fawale, Registrar of the institution, announced the development in a statement, on Sunday.
She said the NBC addressed a letter with reference number:NBC/SEC/LIC/19/VOL.iv dated May 22, 2023, to the Rector of the institution, Kazeem Adebiyi on the acceptance to operate the FM radio station.
According to Fawale, the letter
signed by the secretary to the commission, Igomu Onoja, on behalf of the Director General, read that the licence is still temporary pending when all payments expected from the institution is complete for the application to operate the station submitted to the commission.
The governor of the state, Seyi Makinde will flag off the operation of the radio station very soon.
