Police Nab Suspected One-Chance Robbers in Lagos

Three suspected members of a one-chance gang in Lagos have been caught and arrested by Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
The suspects identified as 24-year-old Wale Ajayi, 26-year-old Abideen Saka and 29-year-old Oliseh Sunday aka Bobwhiskey operated along Oshodi–Gbagada Expressway, Lagos.
Lagos Police Spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement issued by him narrated how the suspects were caught.
Hundeyin said the RRS operatives accosted the suspects as they tried to drop off a victim; adding that they abandoned their operational vehicle, a Suzuki mini bus popularly called ‘korope’ at Gbagada area of Oshodi-Oke along Gbagada–Oshodi Expressway, on April 14, 2023.
The Police investigations, however, revealed that the suspects had earlier hijacked the operational vehicle at gunpoint at Ketu bus stop, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Ojo sometime in February and the incident was reported at Ijanikin Police Divisional Headquarters.
They were eventually arrested at their hideout following weeks of intensive investigation.
