Police Arrest Man Over Sale of Company’s Car to Fund Relocation
Lagos State police have arrested a man who tried to sell a car belonging to his company to generate funds for his relocation to Ghana.
Confirming the arrest to NAN on Tuesday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesperson said that the State Criminal Investigation Department was notified on January 16, at about 1 pm concerning a stolen Toyota Hilux vehicle.
Hundeyin said, “On the strength of the information, a team of detectives swung into action.
“In the course of the investigation, the said vehicle was traced and located at Ilukogun village, a boundary between Lagos State and Ogun,”.
The PPRO added that the vehicle was recovered from one Arthur Benjamin in the said Village.
“The suspect was arrested and he confessed to have stolen the vehicle from his workplace, with an intention to sell and run away to Ghana with his family.
“Investigation is still in progress for possible arrest of other members of his gang,” he said.
