PHOTOS: Sokoto Police Arrest Man For Selling His Six Biological Children Among Others

The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested a man alleged to have sold a total of 28 children, including six of his biological children.
This was disclosed by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Hayatu Kaigama on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

The Police boss told newsmen at the command headquarters in the state that ten members of a human trafficking and child abduction syndicate were arrested including a man identified as Bala Abubakar who sold his six children.

According to him, the suspect, Abubakar who hails from Tudun Wada area of Sokoto sold a total of 28 children to one Kulu Dongoyaro and Elizabeth Ojah in exchange for between N150,000 and N250,000.

Adding that the suspects claimed the children were being taken to one Abuja-based NGO that is willing to shoulder the responsibilities of their welfare.
CP Kaigama, however, noted that 21 children were rescued by the police.
