Photos: Senator Adeleke Bags ‘Governor of the Year Award’
Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Friday, bagged a ‘Governor of the Year Award.’
The award, promoted by Champion Newspaper was featured via @ImoleMedia on Twitter, an handle established to aid the activities of the Governor and the state government.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Governor dedicated the award to God and the people of Osun State; promising to
remain committed to the people and the satisfaction of their aspirations.
Adeleke who remarked upon receiving the award appreciated the local and international community for acknowledging his contributions to state development in the past few months.
The dancing governor also acknowledged that the gesture has energized both him and his team to work harder and deliver on his electoral promises to the people of Osun state.
Earlier, the Osun governor was commended by former Lagos State Governor and the Chairman of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, General Muhammadu Buba Marwa (Rtd) for performing creditably well since he assumed office as Governor of Osun state.
General Marwa (Rtd) noted that the Governor within three months of assuming office has delivered dividends of democracy in ways nobody could ever imagine, describing the award as well deserved.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the occasion, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe said Governor Adeleke has brought light to Osun state in the same way as late Chief Obafemi Awolowo brought light to the Western Region as Premier.
