Oyo Pepper Sellers AssociationOpens New Secretariat Lauds Dotun Sanusi For Support
Proprietor of the popular tourist destination— Ilaji Hotels and Sport Resorts, Engr. Dotun Sanusi has been commended by the Oyo State Pepper Sellers Association for the
philanthropic gesture made towards them as they commissioned their new secretariat.
The executive of the association, and leaders of the association at the event noted that Sanusi who was last Friday elevated to Jagun status in the civil line of the Olubadan chieftaincy system would continue to be adored for always coming to their aid.
Leaders of the association who took turns to speak, just before the commissioning thanked Sanusi, the Otun Apesinola of Ibadan, for always opening his door to the association.
Sanusi who is the association’s grand patron, however, thanked members for the befitting edifice, saying that they have challenged other similar associations to wake up.
“I am happy to be here today not only because I am the association’s grand patron. I am here because I am pleased to be associated with you. You have made me proud by these achievements. I want to assure of my utmost for everything you are doing.
”I think I should tell people here that the association and its members are very dear to me. During the last elections in the state, I asked them for something you know and they did. So this is one of the ways to repay them. I won’t stop at anything to put smiles on their faces.”
On his part, Governor Seyi Makinde, who was represented on the occasion by Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, praised members of the association for their support and steadfastness. He encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the state, adding that the government would assist them.
Makinde also appreciated Sanusi for the aid rendered and called on other influential individuals in the state to follow suit.
