Oyo LP Chairman Collapses Structure to Support Makinde’s Re-Election Bid.

The Oyo State Labour Party chairman, Atayese Sodiq has collapsed his party structure in the state to support the incumbent governor, Seyi Makinde in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

He implied that no political party and their governorship candidates could win the March 11 gubernatorial election without alliance.

Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan on Sunday, Atayese Sodiq, stated that with the results of the last presidential election and political realities of Oyo State, it was obvious that no party candidate can win the coming Guber election in the state alone.

He said the right thing to do is for parties and their candidates to come together and forge alliance with party candidates of like ideologies.

On this note, he mentioned that the Incumbent governor of the state, Seyi Makinde is the only candidate amongst others who the citizens believe has character, competence, and capacity. In turn, decides to work harmoniously with him.

He said, Makinde is the only candidate whose ideology tallies with labour party manifestos.

The LP chairman, Sodiq however, pointed out that his party is aware of Makinde’s battle in his party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and after a thorough assessment of all governorship candidates in the state was done, he (Mr. Sodiq) decided to collapse the Labour Party Structure in the 33 Local Governments in Oyo state to support the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde.
