Over 100 Pupils Abducted In Kaduna Pry School By Bandits, One Shot- Residents

LEA Primary School in Kuriga town of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State was on Thursday invaded by suspected bandits.

The Pendulum Media gathered that the abduction occurred around 8:15 immediately after the school’s assembly.

Residents who spoke to journalists as eyewitnesses put the number of abducted pupils to about 100 including the school’s Headteacher and some staff.

Confirming the incident to Daily Trust, a resident of the town, Shittu, said, the majority of the pupils ran out of their classes when they sighted the bandits on the school premises.

Another resident, Lawal Kuriga, also noted that abducted victims were marched into the forest.

As of the time of filing this report, the State’s Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, and the State Police Command Spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan are yet to react to the incident.
