Oba Adefunmi, African Village King Succumbs To Stab Wounds By Sister In US

The revered monarch of Oyotunji African Village, Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi II, has reportedly died in the United States after he was stabbed to death by his sister during a heated argument.

Oba Adejuyigbe, 47, was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his wounds.

According to Sahara Reporters, the suspect, Adejuyigbe’s 53-year-old sister, Akiba Kasale Meredith, had fled the area on foot after stabbing her brother to death in Southern Carolina, USA.

WJCL reports that the authorities confirmed the death of the person who was stabbed on Monday at Oyotunji African Village in Beaufort County.

Similarly, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office also reported that their communications centre received a stabbing report on Monday at about 2:45 p.m. The incident occurred at the village on Bryant Lane.

Meredith was, however, found a short time later, charged with murder and taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
