Nigerians Don’t Know What Subsidy is- Eniola Badmus
Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has condemned the ignorance of many Nigerians, describing them as keypad warriors who do not know what subsidy is.
In defense of President Tinubu’s decision on the fuel subsidy removal, Eniola told popular media personality, Daddy Freeze, that many of those criticising the president don’t know the benefit of the removal of subsidy on petrol.
Despite a recent increase in the pump price which rose from N500 to N617 per litre due to the removal, the 40-year-old actress noted that Nigeria is still the country with the cheapest fuel price in the world.
The actress said, “A lot of these keypad warriors do not even have an idea of what subsidy is. It was when they removed it that they knew what the government was doing. Even till now, I think we still buy the cheapest fuel in the world.”
Eniola also buttressed that she has “never seen a philanthropist as our current president.”
