Qatar 2022: Morocco Makes History for Semi-Finals
Morocco made history yesterday in Qatar as they became the first ever African country to reach the semi final stage of a World Cup tournament.
The Atlas Lions beat Portugal 1 nil in the quarter final courtesy of a 42nd minute strike by Youssef En-Nesyri.
Morocco will now play Reigning World Champions France in the semi finals on Wednesday.
France had themselves defeated England 2-1 in their quarter final encounter.
The first Semi Final clash will be on Tuesday between Croatia and Argentina.
