May 29: Sanwo-Olu Sworn in for Second Term

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been sworn in for his second term as governor.
Justice Kazeem Alogba, the Chief Judge of Lagos State, administered the oath on Monday at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS).
The deputy governor of the state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, also took the Oath of Office as Deputy Governor for his second term in office.
Recall, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the 2023 governorship election.
Sanwo-Olu polled 762,134 votes, while his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, polled 312,329 votes and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP) Olajide Adediran, came third with 62,449 votes.
