Mass Wedding: Kano Hisbah Prepares 50 Slots For Journalists
A mass wedding invitation is being sent out to 50 journalists as part of Kano State Hisbah Board’s plan for the second batch of the program.
Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, the Board’s Commander General, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the upcoming mass wedding in the state.
He pointed out that 50 slots have been allocated for journalists to have their loved ones participate if they desire.
“Following the success of the last mass wedding, which saw about 1,800 couples married off, the board decided to extend the invitation to interested members of professional groups and trade unions.” He stated
Daurawa also added that legal practitioners and health workers
will be included in the next batch of the exercise.
Sheikh Daurawa said the essence of the mass wedding program was to entrench moral values in society and reduce immorality among young men and women.
