Man Arrested in Katsina for Allegedly Issuing Fake Employment Letters

An alleged fraudster identified as
Abdulrahman Junaidu has been arrested in Funtua, Katsina State for
issuing fake employment letters.
According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, two unsuspecting young men, Abdullahi Abubakar and Isiya Iliyasu
became Junaidu’s victim after receiving fake letters from him.
In a statement issued by the Head, of Corporate Communication, Kaduna Electric, Abdul-Azeez Abdullahi, the crime was detected when the two job seekers Abubakar and Iliyasu presented the fake employment letters for documentation as new employees at the Zaria Regional Office of the Company.

Junaidu was trailed by the security division of the company and the Police till he was arrested at Funtua.
However, the preliminary investigation conducted by the Police showed that the suspect was in cohort with one Aliyu Sani from Sokoto who has been defrauding unsuspecting members of the public of millions of Naira and is currently at large.
Reacting to the incident, the Kaduna Electric spokesman said the company would leave no stone unturned to ensure that the suspects faced the full weight of the law.
“It has been established that the duo of Aliyu Sani and Abdulrahman Junaidu have been fraudulently issuing fake employment letters and other sensitive documents of Kaduna Electric,” he said.
He also advised members of the public to be wary of fraudsters and report such criminals to the company.
According to him, the police were on trail of the second suspect, Aliyu Sani, who is alleged to be the mastermind of the racketeering and the duo would soon have their days in court.
“Kaduna Electric has a robust recruitment and security systems that fake employment can hardly go undetected,” he stated. (NAN)
