Makinde Swears in Justice Yerima as New Acting Chief Judge
Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has sworn in Justice Iyabo Yerima as the state’s acting Chief Judge on Monday.
The Governor while affirming his trust in the newly appointed Chief Judge promised that his administration will provide her with all the resources she needs to carry out her duties with diligence
He noted that it became important to swear in Justice Yerima as the Chief Judge after the former Justice Muntar Abimbola had resigned from the bench with great honors a few days back.
Speaking at the event, Makinde added that his administration will continue to cooperate with the other branches of government to guarantee the continuous trust the Oyo state residents have in him.
However, the governor who declared his trust in the abilities of the new Acting Chief Judge to guide the state judiciary explained that when he is re-elected under Omituntun 2.0, his administration will even do more to reduce the infrastructure deficit of the Judiciary and complete the work of modernizing the arm of government.
