The flag bearer of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has broken his silence over the unfavorable and disturbing presidential results that have got many Nigerians talking.
Mr. Obi made an appeal at the Asaba airport in Delta State on Tuesday urging Nigerians to remain calm amid the collation of the results of the 2023 presidential election.
The Ex-Anambra state governor was on his way to Abuja when he was interviewed by a citizen that shared the same flight.
“We should remain calm, consistent, and persistent. All we are asking for is good governance. Let the government care for the poor people”. He said.
Meanwhile, there are peaceful protests in some parts of the country as citizens allege altered results, over-voting, and disenfranchisement.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) at the National Collation Center in Abuja, Obi is currently in third place behind Bola-Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) and Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
In the meantime, 20 states have been officially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).
The announcement of results from the remaining states continues today at the national collation center in Abuja.
