President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the murder of the Labour Party (LP) Senatorial candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District, Oyibo Chukwu.
In a press release issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, detailing the President’s reaction to the gruesome murder of the politician in Awkunanaw, Enugu recently, the president declared that the killers have no respect for human life and dignity and deserve the wrath of natural and divine justice.

Buhari, while reaffirming his commitment to an election devoid of violence and rancor reminded all political actors that it was the choice of the electorate that counts, and therefore all eligible Nigerians should boldly exercise their civic rights without any fear of intimidation.
The President, also directed security agencies to track down the culprits behind the heinous crime, even as he commiserated with the families of the victims, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Labour Party.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and comfort for those who mourn.
