Kaduna Refinery Operational in 2024- Minister
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, has revealed when the Kaduna refinery will commence operation.
The minister, Lokpobiri made the disclosure during an inspection tour to assess the progress at the Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemicals Company Limited on Saturday.
Lokpobiri confidently expressed that the refinery will be ready by the end of 2024, considering the “significant level of progress” he witnessed on the tour.
While assuring to keep the key players accountable in the rehabilitation process of the nation’s refineries, he noted that there is an urgent need to get the refinery back on track for Nigeria’s economic prosperity and energy security, which are both paths to sustainable development.
Lokpobiri also pledged the support of the federal government in ensuring the timely delivery of the project.
