JUST- IN: Vehicle Crashes Into Anambra Market, Reportedly Kills 3 Persons
A tragic news report reaching The Pendulum Media revealed that an overspeeding vehicle on Wednesday lost control and crashed into Oye Agu Market in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
A video of the incident trending on social media, showed the crashed Sienna vehicle, some of the traders who were believed to have been crushed to death as well as damaged market wares.
According to sources, the sudden crash was not expected at the time as the market usually has traders selling food items by the roadside.
Confirming the incident, President-General of Abagana community, Engr. Ben Okongwu said at least three people lost their lives.
He added that the crash was as a result of the over speeding vehicle which resulted to loss of control by the driver.
Also, the Public Relation Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, RC Margaret Onabe said she was unaware of the incident.
