JUST-IN: Tinubu To Meet US President, Trump Over Christian Genocide Claims
Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed-Tinubu has been scheduled to have a discussion with United States, US, President, Donald Trump “in the coming day”, the Presidency said.
President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on policy communication, Daniel Bwala disclosed that the meeting will be revolve around claims of a Christian genocide in Nigeria.
Trump had made recent remarks accusing the Nigerian government of ignoring attacks on Christians.
Taking to his official X handle, Bwala wrote: “Both President Bola Tinubu and President Donald Trump have shared interest in the fight against insurgency and all forms of terrorism against humanity.”
President Trump had threatened military action against Nigeria to “wipe out” terrorists killing Christians in the country.
He also warned that the United States might cut off all aid and assistance to Nigeria if the killings does not stop.
