Just In: Osun Govt. Declares Election Holiday

Osun State Government has declared Friday, February, 24th as a public holiday for residents and indigenes who wish to travel to their hometowns in respect to the forthcoming 2023 general election.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, the Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke stated that the essence of the holiday is to enable civil servants to exercise their franchise.
He also urged the civil servants to utilize the opportunity to visit the local government areas where they registered as voters in order to participate in the electoral process.
The Governor, however, appealed to all residents to be law-abiding as they peacefully exercise their voting rights on Saturday and in subsequent elections.
