JUST-IN: Ondo Gov Akeredolu Is Dead

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State is dead.
The Pendulum Media learned that he died in Lagos on Wednesday at age 67.
According to reports, the Governor died after battling prostate cancer and leukemia, two conditions that had kept him unable to move for several months.
A reliable source told Vanguard “Akeredolu is dead; he died in Lagos.
“They were looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week.”
Recall that the Ondo governor had returned to Nigeria after spending a month abroad on medical leave.
At his return in September, he governed the State from his Ibadan residence which led to a series of political uproar and increased tension between him and his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The ailing governor eventually handed over power to his deputy following the intervention of President Bola Tinubu.
The late governor is however survived by his wife, Betty, and four children.
