JUST-IN: Guinness World Records Recognises 93 Hours 11 Minutes Not 100 Hours Hilda Baci’s Cook-a-thon
Guinness World Records has recognised Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, aka Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking by an individual.
The organization in a statement on Tuesday, announced that it has now confirmed 93 hours 11 minutes for Baci after a thorough review.
“Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
Recall, the 26-year-old Akwa Ibom Chef who attempted to set a world record of 100 hours began her cook-a-thon on Thursday, 11th May, and concluded it on Monday, 15th May.
She has eventually broken India’s Lata Tondon’s 87 hours 45 minutes record of uninterrupted cooking after a long wait for confirmation from GWR.
