Just In: EKSU Suspends Academic Activities for Two Weeks

The management of Ekiti State University, (EKSU) Ado Ekiti has approved the suspension of academic activities on campus for two weeks with effect from Monday 10th April 2023.

Mr. Bode Olofinmuagun, Head, of the Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, announced the suspension in a statement on behalf of the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Edward Olanipekun.

Olofinmuagun, who ordered all students to vacate the university premises immediately for the next two weeks stated that the EKSU’s vice-chancellor has urged parents and guardians to invite their wards home immediately.

According to Professor Olanipekun, any student found wandering around the university premises does so at his or her own risk.

Earlier today, students of EKSU barricaded all roads leading to the institution, over an alleged increase in the late registration fee from five thousand naira to ten thousand naira.
