JUST-IN: Court Grants Suspended CBN Governor, Emefiele N20m Bail
The suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele has been granted a sum of N20 million by a federal high court in Lagos.
The presiding judge, Nicholas Oweibo, in a ruling on Tuesday, said the charges against Emefiele are bailable.
The bail was granted with one surety.
Earlier, the former CBN governor, Emefiele pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge bordering on alleged illegal possession of firearms preferred against him.
