JUST IN: 17 Feared Dead in Niger Road Accident
An auto crash which occurred at Takalafia village along the Yawuri Motorway in Magama Local Government Area of the Niger state has claimed 17 lives.
The Pendulum Media gathered that the crash involved a DAF articulated vehicle, whose driver rammed into an oncoming vehicle.
According to the tragic report by The Nigerian Tribune, the incident occurred around 3:00 am on Tuesday.
It added that a statement issued in Abuja by the Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Bisi Kazeem, confirmed that the accident involved 29 people, consisting of 20 male adults, 4 female adults, and 5 male children.
The injured victims were reportedly taken to Kontagora General Hospital for immediate medical attention, while the dead bodies were deposited in the hospital’s mortuary section.
