‘It Was An Unprovoked Attack’- Sowore Reacts After Police Tear Gas Attack

…confirms Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, brother, arrest.

Following the disrupted #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest staged in Abuja, the former presidential candidate and activist, Omoyele Sowore has released a statement.

In a conversation with Channels TV, Sowore disclosed that the police attack on them were unprovoked even as he explained to them that
the protesters are not enemies.

Recall, that security operatives reportedly stormed the protest ground to fire tear gas on #FreeNnamdiKanuNow
protesters led by activist Sowore.

According to Sowore,

“We started the protest in front of the Transcorp hotel and security operatives came, army, police, civil defence, I started telling them that we are not enemies that the protest is not about them, then suddenly, they started shooting at us with tear gas and some live bullets were fired.

“Luckily, nobody was hit by the bullets but they were just shooting all around us. Eventually, they arrested some people. I heard that Nnamdi Kanu’s brother was arrested and beaten.

“The lawyer, Ejimakor was also arrested and beaten before they were taken to the FCT command.

“It was an unprovoked attack from the police force.”
