Insecurity: Gunmen Abduct District Head In Kebbi State
The district head of Kanya, under the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Isah Daya, has been reportedly kidnapped from his village.
Aside from his kidnap with eight others, the bandits killed one person and injured three persons.
Reacting to the report, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Nafui Abubakar, who confirmed the attack, gave the name of the deceased as Sheriff Alhaji Almu.
He noted that a combined security team led by the police has launched a manhunt on the abductors of the monarch to rescue the abducted persons.
Adding that logistics have also been provided by the Kebbi State Government to tame banditry in the affected towns, particularly Kebbi South, Zuru Emirate.
In a related story, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Suru Local Government Area of the state was also killed some days ago by bandits.
