Imo Governor, Uzodinma Suspends Commissioner, Special Adviser

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has suspended both the Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Physical Planning, Noble Atulegwu, and his Special Adviser and General Manager of the State Housing Cooperation, Mbakwe Obi.
The suspension which took immediate effect as disclosed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Cosmos Iwu did not reveal the reasons behind the governor’s decision.
The statement reads: “The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has approved the immediate suspension from the office of the Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Physical Planning, Noble Atulegwu.
“His Excellency has similarly approved the immediate suspension from office of the SA/GM Imo Housing Corporation, Mbakwe Obi.”
Before the suspension, Atulegwu had been having issues with many communities in Owerri, the state capital over alleged land grabs that belong to families and communities.
