
The people of Oyo state welcomed the presence of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Fayemi at the state capital, Ibadan on Thursday to formally commission the just-completed road and fly-over by the Seyi Makinde- led administration

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Governor of Ekiti state and chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, has advocated for a proportional representation system that would enable both losers and victors of elections to work together and build a government that serves the needs of the populace.
The event which took place at the flyover unveiled the commissioning of the 7.2 km Idi-Ape – Bashorun – Akobo – Odogbo barracks road dualization project and flyover at General Gas, Ibadan.

Dr. Kayode Fayemi while commending Governor Seyi Makinde for his purposeful leadership, stated in a keynote address that effort should be geared toward social and economic development for the benefit of the general public and that the “winner-take-all” system would not progress the growth of the country.
Governor Seyi Makinde in turn noted in his speech that the project will boost economic activity along the axis. He also promised that attention would be given to the repairs of the dreadful inner city roadways.
