I Never Wanted To Marry A Singer –Simi
Nigerian singer, Simi has disclosed she never intended to marry an artiste.
Narrating the events that led to her marriage to Adekunle Gold in a recent episode of the ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast, Simi said she initially thought Gold was just a fan hoping to connect with her on Facebook.
The 35-year-old songstress further pointed out she met her husband as a graphics designer and had no idea “he was singing”.
“When I first met my husband, I did not know he was singing. Because I already said I cannot marry a singer. He used to do this King of Photoshop. I have never heard him sing up till that time. I think he was even a fan.
“He had sent me a message on Facebook. I never saw it. I still have not replied. I sensed that it was him that would be good for me.”
Simi married her heartthrob and fellow singer, Adekunle Gold in 2019.
