‘I Channeled The Pain’- Dunsin Oyekan Shares Secrets Of Enduring Pain 6 Years After Wife’s Demise

‎Popular gospel artist, Dunsin Oyekan has disclosed what he did after his wife’s death six years on.

On his X page on Sunday, May 18th, the “JUDAH” crooner revealed that today makes it 6 years since he had endured pain, although he didn’t reveal for what cause.

However, many guessed he was referring to his wife’s death.

‎Dunsin noted how many people could not imagine how he pulled through the period, adding that he ‘channeled’ the pain and found closure in the presence of God.

He wrote:
“6 YEARS TODAY
‎GOD IS GOOD!!!

‎Most people wondered how I survived. I didn’t numb the pain, I channeled it!

‎I found closure in the Presence of God, understood from God’s perspective, sovereignty and found joy in His presence!

‎That’s the path of Life…

‎6 years after, with tears of joy, all I still have to say is GOD IS GOOD!”

‎Recall that Dunkin Oyekan lost wife, Adedoyin Oyekan on May 18, 2019 leaving him with two children, a boy and a girl. He is yet to remarry.

Dunsin Oyekan is from Ogbomosho, Nigeria. He studied Industrial Chemistry in the university and after he responded to God’s call into full-time worship ministry in 2014.

Since then, he has served as a music director, sang in choirs, and written songs, some of his songs include: Na You ft Kim Burrell (2016), You Are Good (2017), Yah (2021) and Judah( 2025) among others.
