Governor Oyetola Inaugurates Southwest APC Grassroots Mobilization Council
Osun state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has officially commissioned the southwest grassroots mobilization, engagement, and orientation directorate of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.
The Grassroots mobilization amongst other schedules was formally commissioned at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office on Saturday in Osogbo, with Chief Wale Ohu serving as the Oyo state coordinator and Dr. Fola Akinosun serving as the southwest patron.
The directorate’s goal is to support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
Chief Ohu and Dr. Fola Akinosun were chosen to accompany the Oyo representative of the directorate to the inauguration based on their long histories of involvement in grassroots politics and their unwavering support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential aspirations.
In a statement made shortly after the inauguration Chief Wale Ohu asked party supporters to mobilize eligible voters at the local level to support Asiwaju in the general election in February 2023.
He characterized Dr. Akinosun, the southwest patron of the presidential campaign council’s directorate of grassroots mobilization, engagement, and orientation, as a powerful mobilizer and supporter of the Tinubu-Shettima and Teslim Folarin aspirations in Oyo state.
Dr. Fola Akinosun, a philanthropist and patron of the directorate from the southwest, also claimed that Oyo state had started grassroots mobilization to deliver at least 90% of the vote to Asiwaju and all APC candidates running for elective positions.
Earlier while Inaugurating the council, Osun state governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola stressed that Tinubu/Shetima Presidential ticket was an answered prayer to various challenges confronting the nation.
Governor Oyetola noted that the antecedents of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu were enough to prove that he has solutions to national challenges urging members of the Council to permeate the south-west zone and get massive votes for the party in February 2023 presidential election.
The inauguration also had in attendance two former deputy governors of Osun state, Titi Laoye, Ekiti State House of Reps Member, Oyetunde Ojo, members of APC from the six states of the South West including Omo-Akin and APC new-era groups of the All progressives Congress APC in Oyo state.
