‘God Will Punish All Of You’- VDM Fires Back At Police PRO For Recommending Jail For Nigerians Who Insult Govt Officials On Social Media
Controversial online activist, Vincent Otse (a.k.a Very Dark Man) has reacted to the statement made by the Police Force Spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi about clamping down on Nigerians who rain curses on social media.
The Police Chief on Friday took to his X platform and penned down what would befall anyone who rain curses or insults online, tagging it as Cyberbulling.
According to Mr. Adejobi, it is a criminal offence, punishable according to the laws of the country.
He said, “Raining direct curses on someone online is cyber bullying, not expression of freedom or criticism.
“And cyberbullying, which is even different from defamation, is a criminal offence and punishable. Be guided.”
In a fierce reaction, VDM known for his activism came online to criticise the statement, lashing at the PPRO for making such utterance; saying ‘God will punish all Nigerian Politicians for making the country bad’.
He added that it is not possible for one to be beaten and not cry, citing cases of kidnappings that are and would occur this December which cause pains and heartaches to vulnerable Nigerians.
His words:
First, God will punish all the Nigerian politicians that have put Nigerians where we are today. Mo come and arrest me, God punish all of you. So you want to beat us and not cry?
“To Olumuyiwa Adejobi, ask yourself a question if you leave your office today, what will be your story. You know what I am saying, a lot of Policemen that have served the country before, currently they are suffering, nothing to show for it because one big man somewhere is sitting on their pension and gratuities and you say make people no talk?”

Adejobi in his statement also advised Nigerians to be guided as there is a different between expressing of freedom and cyberbulling.
He also made mention of defamation, saying it is an offence that can be criminalized.
In a related story, human rights lawyer, Farotimi was arrested weeks ago for alleged defamation of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, ABUAD, Afe Babalola.
He was released on bail of N30 million on Friday, 20th December by the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ekiti State.
