Female Police Officer Cries Out on Sexual Assault,Commissioner Reacts

“… He now started beating me, to the extent, he naked me…”

A policewoman named Olorunsogo Bamidele who was seen in a viral video has narrated how she was sexual assaulted by a senior colleague while on duty at a police station in Ode Omu, Osun state.

In the video, she explained that her senior colleague, Ajayi Mathew wanted to have an extramarital relationship with her but she declined noting that she is a married woman

“… He now started beating me, to the extent, he naked me, he put me into naked, look at the chest, my hands, everywhere injured…” She cried

According to her, the event occurred on Tuesday at the station in front of two police officers and ten bystanders

The incident has however generated lots of reactions on social media

Emmanuel Luke said, “Police should quickly investigate the case. At the same time ajayi should be tamed before he descend on another woman.”

Tony also added, “Na wa o. Somebody please tell ajayi there are websites to find willing women to date. And no means no”

The Commissioner of Police for Osun state, CP Faleye S. Olaleye
who has now ordered a covert and complete inquiry into the circumstances leading to the alleged attack of the policewoman working under his authority.

In a statement posted on the Osun State Police Command’s Twitter account, Olaleye disclosed that the investigation’s goal was to determine what exactly led to the unethical behavior.

Part of the declaration reads:

“The Command is aware of the video of a lady Police Inspector, Olorunsogo Bamidele, purportedly being assaulted by her DCO ASP Ajayi Mathew in Ode Omu division in the state, spreading on social media…”

The CP, in his Swift Intervention, has interrogated the Police Officers (parties) engaged in this unethical act and, as a result, ordered a discrete/thorough investigation of the occurrence to unravel the circumstances that led to this unethical behavior assuring the general public that justice will prevail on the matter.

The alleged victim, Bamidele Olorunsogo, is a female-aged police inspector assigned to the Ode-Omu community in Osun State’s Ayedaade Local Government Area, while the accused, Mr. Ajayi Matthew, is the station’s Divisional Crime Officer.
