Emefiele: EFCC Storms Dangote Head Office

The Lagos Head Office of the Dangote Group on Thursday was raided by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Investigating the reason for their presence at the company, The Pendulum Media gathered that
the anti-graft agency’s operatives were searching for forex allocations to Dangote company during the tenure of the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele.

According to The Cable, Dele Oyewale, the EFCC public relations officer declined comments on the development.

However, a Dangote employee confirmed that EFCC operatives were at the company’s head office.

The employer said, “They asked for documents on forex transactions with the CBN,”.
