Ekweremadu: Organ Donor Victim, Nwamini, Begs to Stay Back in UK for Safety

The supposed kidney donor in the
Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s organ trafficking case, David Nwamini has begged for a stay in the UK; stating he could be killed in Nigeria.

Nwamini, 25, whose impact statement was read in court on Friday, saw to the sentencing of Ekweremadu and his team of organ trafficking and harvesting to varying jail terms.

Nwamini disclosed that if he was sent back to Nigeria, he could be arrested; “they could arrest me or kill me in Nigeria”; hence, he would like to remain and work in the UK.

Recall, the former deputy senate president, Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice, and the medical “middle man” were found guilty at the Old Bailey of conspiring to arrange the travel of a Nwamini to exploit his body part to save the senator’s 25-year-old daughter, Sonia, who has severe kidney disease.
