Don’t Fall For It- NYSC Advises Nigerians Over Fake Trust Fund Advert
The Management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has urged the general public not to be carried away by an advertisement with the caption, ‘NYSC Trust Fund, NYSCTF, 2023: boost your business dream…’
trending online, saying it is fake.
NYSC in a statement signed by Eddy Megwa, Director, Press and Public Relations stated that the motive of the fraudsters who created an NYSC Portal and link to register for the fund is to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians, particularly serving and ex-Corps members of their resources.
The organisation added that the advert is only a ruse as the legitimate NYSC Trust Fund is still awaiting the assent of President Bola Tinubu.
“When the Trust Fund is passed into Law, modalities to access the fund shall be officially made known to Nigerians through the print and electronic media as well as NYSC official handles in the social media, among others.
“Please, do not fall prey to fraudsters,” It warned.
