‘Devil is a liar’ – Banky W Seemingly Debunks Cheating Rumours Against Him
Popular Nigerian singer, politician, and preacher, Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W, has responded to the cheating allegations against him.
The singer, Banky W trended yesterday on Twitter after a controversial blog, Gistlover, had insinuated that the singer is cheating on his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington with his former lover, Niyola.
But while he addressed his congregation at the Waterbrooks church in Lagos on Sunday, pointed out that the rumours were created by satanic elements who want to prevent his followers from listening to his Sunday sermon.
He, however, declared that the devil is a liar and assured his congregation that God was in control.
He said, “The devil really didn’t want you to hear this message. In fact, he didn’t want us to enter into this series at all. There was an attack at the beginning, but here we are. But the devil is a liar. And God is in control.”
Preaching on the topic, ‘The Prison Of Pornography’, Banky W went on to appreciate his wife, Adesua, for supporting him during his struggle with porn addiction.
“If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this woman [pointing at Adesua],” he said.
