Deputy Police Commissioner, Guri Found Dead In Abuja Office
The Police Mobile Force in Abuja has been thrown into a state of mourning as a Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abubakar Muhammad Guri of the Police Mobile Force, MPF, was reportedly found dead in his office.
Sahara Reporters quoted a report by Tribune, disclosing an eyewitness’s report that Guri in his uniform, slumped on his seat shortly after entering his office at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Monday, and was quickly taken for medical assistance, where he was confirmed dead.
“Some officers rushed him to the hospital and even before reaching there, he had already passed away.” The Source said.
The incident has sparked discussion among police personnel within the complex noting that the late DSP show no signs of illness before his passing.
As of press time, no official statement had been released about the incident, as arrangements were still being made to brief the family.
