Defence Chief Shows Optimism For Biafra Agitator, Ekpa’s Extradition To Nigeria
Director of Defence Information, Brig Gen Tukur Gusau has disclosed in a statement that the Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Gen Chris Musa, has expressed hope on Simon Ekpa’s extradition to Nigeria.
This follows the Pro-Biafra’s agitator’s arrest by Finland’s authorities on the ground of his involvement in terrorism activities in South-east, Nigeria.
Hailing Finnish authorities in a statement, “CDS is happy with his (Ekpa) arrest in Finland, with the hope this will be a step towards his extradition to Nigeria so that he will face justice,”.
Ekpa who was remanded by Finland district court in Lahti was accused of using social media platforms to spread separatist propaganda linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, a group advocating for the secession of southeastern Nigeria.
