The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Friday appealed to Nigerians to go for their Permanent Voters’ Cards.
Obi, in a less-than-a-minute monologue- video, stressed the need for Nigerians to collect their PVCs, noting the critical nature of the 2023 elections.
“I want to appeal to Nigerians to endeavor to collect your PVC. The collection ends on the 22nd of January, 2023; this election is a critical existential election for Nigeria and all of us must endeavor to vote…” he said,
Earlier on Thursday, Mr. Peter Obi, while at the ObiDatti Presidential Campaign ground in Ekiti, stated that, he is not contesting based on turns, but because he is a Nigerian.
“Today, people are hungry in the country, there are no jobs, and they don’t know what to do. Our youths are not doing anything, what we want to do is to ensure we move the country from consumption to production. If you claim it is my turn, I will say it is our turn.
I am not contesting based on turns, I am contesting as a Nigerian who is the most qualified”
Speaking to Newsmen, the former Anambra state Governor said, it is time to say “No” to the Money bags.
“Money bags have played a lot of roles and they have brought us to the point of poverty. So, it is time to reject them, I am pleading for Nigerians to reject them because, they cannot continue because, if they continue we will end up impoverished. Most of the youths are unemployed because of money bags, do you want them to continue? No. We don’t want money bags. We want to give the youths jobs, we want to give them a future..”
While hoping for a new Nigeria, Mr. Peter Obi expressed gratitude to the Ewi of Ado -Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, and his council of chiefs, Afe Babalola (SAN), the Management of Afe Babalola University Ekiti as well as the Ekiti OBIdients for the show of love.
“A national rebirth is possible!” He added
