Chimamanda Adiche Publishes First Children’s Book
Prominent Nigerian novelist and author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has published her first children’s book titled, “Mama’s Sleeping Scarf”.
The Novelist, Adichie announced the release of the book in a video via her Instagram page explaining that the fiction is her first children’s book which reflects a day in the life of her daughter.
She said;
“This is my first children’s book and it’s called “Mama’s Sleeping Scarf”. It’s about how delightful the ordinary everyday things can be and it also happens to be based on a day in the life of my daughter.”
Chimamanda who noted that the new children’s book is a celebration of the joy in ordinary family life has published other widely read novels and short stories with Purple Hibiscus (2003) recorded as her first.
