The All Progressives Congress (APC) Assembly candidate for Ibadan South-West Constituency II Alhaji Idris Abiola-Ajimobi has hailed his co-contestants for withdrawing suit against his candidature.
This, he made in a statement available to newsmen on Friday through his media aide, Lateef Alade in Ibadan.

Alhaji Idris Abiola-Ajimobi, who is the son of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, said the plaintiffs had demonstrated a high of level maturity and loyalty to the party by withdrawing the suit they instituted against his candidature.
The candidate appreciated his co-contestants and party leaders for their intervention which led to the amicable resolution of the issue.
He assured all members of the party including his co-contestants of quality representation, promising to justify the confidence reposed in him.
“I assure our leaders, co-contestants, constituents, and other members of the party that I will justify the confidence reposed in me through quality representation.”
Earlier, Idris Abiola-Ajimobi won the party’s primaries on May 26 to contest for the Ibadan South-West II State Constituency seat in the 2023 general elections. The outcome had led Michael Famurewa and Olawale Ayilara, Ajimobi’s co-contenders to approach the court in a bid to challenge his success at the primaries.
The court had struck out the case challenging Idris Abiola- Ajimobi’s candidature after the duo Famurewa and Ayilara withdrew the suit in his honour.
