BREAKING: Benue Police Confirms Kidnap Of 20 Nigerian Medical, Dental Students By Gunmen
The Benue State Police Command’s Spokesperson, SP Catherine Anene, has confirmed the kidnapping incident that involved over 20 medical and dental students and a House Officer in Benue State.
SP Catherine Anene explained that
the kidnapped students are from the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos, and were traveling together when they were ambushed by gunmen around 5:30 p.m. in the Otukpo area of the state.
The students were en route to the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) annual convention in Enugu.
Anene, however, said an investigation had been launched into the abduction.
“Yes, the report of kidnapping is true. The report was received around 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and an investigation is ongoing.”
