Be Abreast of New Electoral Act – Gov. Adeleke Charges PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Osun
The Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke has encouraged the members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP’s Presidential Campaign Council to equip themselves with the provisions of the new electoral act as amended ahead of the February general elections.
The governor, while speaking at Adeleke University, Ede told members of the council to broaden their knowledge of democracy and guide the electorate accordingly on the necessary information and logistics made available.
Reacting, the PDP Director of Training, Mr. Austin Okpara, and the Deputy Director of Training, Northern Region, Mrs. Boni Haruna thanked Governor Adeleke for hosting the program and pleaded with the participants to make the best use of every session to reposition themselves and the party for victory at this year’s general elections.
The governor also appealed to them to impart the knowledge gained at the training to other members of the party in their respective states.
The Acting Chairman of the PDP in Osun State, Dr. Akindele Adekunle also commended the national leadership of the party for adopting the last Osun State gubernatorial election as a template for next month’s national polls.
According to reports, the participants at the retreat for members of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council were drawn from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
