‘An Exemplary Religious Leader’- Makinde Felicitates Chief Imam Of Ibadan Sheikh Ajigbotomokekere At 90
The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulgaaniyy Ajigbotomokekere on his 90th birthday.
Describing the Imam as an exemplary religious leader, Governor Makinde also said Sheikh Agbotomokekere, who was also the Grand Imam Of Oyo State and Grand Patron Of League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo And Delta States has had great impact on Islam.
He also appreciated the renowned Islamic cleric for being a patriot and God-fearing leader.
Makinde said, “Today, I celebrate our Baba, His Eminence Sheikh Abdulgaaniyy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, the Chief Imam of Ibadan land as he clocks 90.
“Baba has been an exemplary religious leader, with a great sense of patriotism and commitment to the development of Oyo State.
“I celebrate his impactful life, which has seen him continue to make great marks on Islam, Ibadan land and Oyo State.
“As he joins the rank of the nonagenarians, my prayer is that may Allah SWT grant him more years and good health to lead the people and make more impact on humanity,”.
