Akwa Ibom NYSC Co-ordinator, Driver Declared Missing
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the Akwa Ibom State Co-ordinator, Mr. Okun Christopher, and Driver, Mr. Daniel Effiong Asibong, are missing.
Eddy Megwa, the Director Press and Public Relations department, disclosed to newsmen in Abuja, that both officials were travelling for an official assignment on Monday, July 29, 2024 when they were suddenly abducted between Delta and Akwa Ibom States.
The director lamented that since their abduction, all efforts to locate their whereabout have yielded no results.
Megwa said the scheme was in touch with their families in the bid to get any information about their whereabouts.
He, thereby, pleaded with anyone who has useful information on their whereabouts to reach out to the scheme.
The vehicle they were commuting with was a white official Hilux with registration number “27D31FG”.
“Anyone with useful information regarding their whereabouts should contact any of the 37 NYSC state secretariats, area offices, and the national directorate headquarters in Abuja or the nearest police station or other security agencies for prompt action,” he said.
